Out of the complete Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World cast of over 40 playable characters (not including transformations), so far 25 characters have been revealed like Goku and Cell. So we thought it was time to list the DBZ characters below that have been confirmed for the PlayStation 2 versus fighting game that will be released in America on November 4th and in Europe on December 5th, 2008.

When you click on each DBZ character’s name below, a window will pop up with a picture or video of him/her.

It’s unclear if some of the more passive DBZ characters shown in the game’s artwork will be playable in the game or just give tips. These include: Bulma, Chiaotzu, Chi Chi, Dende, Hercule, King Kai, Master Roshi, Mr. Popo, Ox-King and Puar.

Take the following steps to unlock each of the secret characters in Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit as well as their transformations. No cheats will enable them in either the Xbox 360 or PS3 versions, so you’ll have to get better and play through the game.

The list is organized alphabetically for ease-of-use.

* Android #17 is unlocked by finishing chapter 3 on the Cell Saga;
* Android #18 is unlocked by finishing chapter 2 on the Cell Saga;
* Bardock is unlocked by finishing chapter 1 on Bardock’s storyline;
* Broly is unlocked by finishing chapter 1 on Broly’s storyline;
* Captain Ginyu is unlocked by finishing chapter 4 on the Frieza Saga;
* Cell’s Imperfect Cell transformation chapter 4 on the Cell Saga;
* Cell’s Semi-Perfect Cell transformation chapter 6 on the Cell Saga;
* Cell’s Perfect Cell transformation is unlocked by finishing chapter 12 on the Cell Saga;

But there’s much more to be unlocked in Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit. The following lists show the rest of the unlockables:

Difficulty levels to be unlocked are:
* Hard and Very Hard difficulty levels are unlocked by finishing the Z Chronicles on Normal difficulty;
* Z difficulty level is unlocked by finishing the Z Chronicles on Very Hard difficulty.

Movies that can be unlocked are:
* Movie 1 by finishing the Frieza Saga;
* Movie 2 by finishing the Cell Saga;
* The Credits by finishing Broly’s storyline.

The Dragon Ball Online MMO is coming to PC in Korea and Japan. The service plan is said to start sometime in 2008. No word yet if it’ll be released elsewhere in the world, but let’s hope this gets an English release. Maybe the Dragon Ball Online Xbox 360 version could make that happen?

For now, let’s take a look at the first Dragon Ball Online videos that show off the RPG’s intro and some gameplay footage. They seem to be doing the manga and anime series justice through time travel, collecting dragonballs and having martial arts tournaments, while taking place far in the future. Perhaps series creator and game supervisor Akira Toriyama is using Time Patrol Trunks to create split timelines in which the game takes place, this way the original universe stays intact and he can let his imagination run wild. The game looks great so far!
