Guitar Hero World Tour gets The Killers Track Pack

Pre-Order The Killers Day & Age CDTo celebrate the release of The Killers third album, Day & Age, they will be debuting two songs off the upcoming album as downloadable content for Guitar Hero World Tour.

These songs will be released on November 25th, day and date with the CD. And joining them for the DLC is Mr. Brightside, which will all be part of the three song The Killers Track Pack.

The Killers Track Pack will be available on Xbox Live Marketplace for Xbox 360 at a price of 440 Microsoft Points, on the PlayStation Store for PS3 at a price of $5.49. Additionally, these three songs will be released as singles on the above download services at a price of 160 Microsoft Points or $1.99 respectively, as well as for download with the Nintendo Wii version of the game for 200 Wii Points, or $2.00.

Rock Band: AC/DC Live songs list for the standalone track pack available exclusively at Wal-Mart

MTV and Wal-Mart have announced that the retailer will be exclusively selling an AC/DC version of Rock Band, titled the AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack, starting on November 2nd, 2008. The Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii versions will set you back $39.88, while the PS2 version is priced at $29.88. This release also coincides with AC/DC’s new album Black Ice, another Wal-Mart exclusive.

Don’t let the name fool you though, it’s not just a track pack: “AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack is a fully-featured, standalone extension to the multi-million unit selling, genredefining, cultural phenomenons Rock Band and Rock Band 2, the ultimate social music game experiences. AC/DC Live lets you and your friends relive AC/DC’s epic 1991 live performance at Donington, UK, through the eyes of Brian Johnson, Angus Young, Malcolm Young, Cliff Williams, and Chris Slade.”

Rock Band Track Pack Volume 1 will be stand-alone expansion disc for PS2 and Wii

Pre-order Rock Band Special Edition for WiiRock Band developer Harmonix and MTV Games have announced Rock Band Track Pack Volume 1 for the Wii and PlayStation 2. The 20-Track Pack features an electrifying mix of classic hits and current favorites, including songs (master recordings) by Boston, Nine Inch Nails, Stone Temple Pilots, and All American Rejects. The Rock Band Track Pack Volume 1 is a stand-alone expansion disc that will be available on July 15th, 2008 at a price of $30. No doubt this is in response to the Rock Band downloadable content that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions have enjoyed so far.

While Rock Band is already available on PS2 (and PS3 & Xbox 360) it won’t be available for the Wii until June 22nd, 2008.
