The expansion pack for Gothic 3, Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods, for the PC, is out now and ready to purchase on store shelves.

Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods is a third-person RPG expansion pack that offers a new episode for a new glimpse into the amazing world of Gothic. Forsaken Gods includes new quests, new monsters and many of the old friends whom gamers around the world got to know in previous episodes.

The first BioShock 2 teaser trailer has been uncovered by VG247. The video is unlocked after you complete the new PlayStation 3 version of BioShock. It shows a more grown up Little Sister with Big Daddy plushy in hand, standing at the Atlantic Coast staring out into the ocean as a city (that looks like Rapture) emerges from the beach floor.

The game has received a subtitle as well, now being called BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams. The FPS survival-horror sequel will likely appear on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC and has been confirmed for release in August 2009.

StarCraft II’s opening cinematic set the BlizzCon 2008 crowd afire when Blizzard unveiled a teaser video of the intro to their highly anticipated RTS sequel. Even though the scene was simply a teaser, and not the entire sequence.

But once again Blizzard impresses with some mighty fine CG that is quite simply as top-notch as you can get. Although the opening cinematic isn’t as action packed as I thought it would be, given that this is StarCraft II. But regardless, the teaser video definitely has a very cool, Aliens-esque cinematic feel to it that is definitely worth checking out. And fans will be in for a treat.

James Bond is back to settle the score in the Quantum of Solace game. Marvel Universe Online is canceled, Microsoft’s own Shane Kim confirmed in an interview with MTV Multiplayer’s Stephen Totilo.

Kim also went on to explain their reason for canceling the Marvel Comics MMO that was being developed by Cryptic Studios to be published by Microsoft. “When we first entered into the development and agreement of the development of ‘Marvel Universe Online,’ we thought we would create another subscription-based MMO,” said Kim. “And if you really look at the data there’s basically one that’s successful and everything else wouldn’t meet our level or definition of commercial success.”

So sad.

Marvel Universe Online was in development for Windows Vista and Xbox 360 and was set to draw from not only 60 years of Marvel Comics material, but also would integrate current and future events in the Marvel Universe into the game, and planned to do so for the next five to ten years after release. But alas, it was not to be.

The only trailer for the game was the teaser below, which didn’t show any gameplay but did highlight a ton of Marvel characters that would presumably be in the game, including: Apocalypse, Captain America, Cyclops, Daredevil, Doctor Doom, Doctor Octopus, Nick Fury, Galactus, the Hulk, Magneto, Nightcrawler, the Punisher, Quicksilver, a Sentinel, Spider-Man, the Thing, Uatu, and Wolverine.
