Interview with John DiMaggio voice of Marcus Fenix in Gears of War 2

Voicing Marcus Fenix in Gears of War 2 he gave a radio interview in which he simply comes off as . . . one heck of a cool, laid-back, nice, fun, kick-ass dude. A dude who got to take part in one of the best video games of 2008.

Gears of War 2 for Xbox 360In addition to voicing Marcus in Gears of War (oh and be sure to check out our Gears of War 2 cheats guide for help with the game), he also does the voice of Bender in Futurama! What’s insane is how he can make his voice so deep for the part of Fenix, and yet do Bender and other voices as well. He is definitely one heck of a talented guy.

And if you haven’t heard him before, be prepared to love him. In this interview he talks about guy stuff: from football to beer to video games to cartoons and everything in between. Very interesting!

PSP Firmware 3.80 update adds Internet Radio support

PSP 2000 Console in Piano Black colorSony announced the PSP system software update 3.80 will be released today, December 18th, 2007. In this latest firmware Internet Radio will be added! Busy day for Sony hardware, with the PS3 Firmware 2.10 update also out, which adds DivX and Blu-Ray 1.1 support.

PSP owners will be able to access thousands of stations in a wide range of diverse genres. To quote: “Interested in Top 40 Pop? Check. Country? Check. Talk radio? Check. Ultimately, this addition speaks to how much we listen to our consumers. Music has been one of the primary uses of the PSP system, and with the addition of Internet Radio, consumers are able to access even more of their favorite artists. Enjoy.”

How to use Internet Radio on PSP:

* Download and install firmware update 3.80.
* Ensure you are in a Wi-Fi environment before attempting use
* With Memory Stick Duo containing firmware update 3.80 inserted into PSP, select Internet Radio icon under Network, and then “About Internet Radio.”
* Select “Adding the player to the Memory Stick Duo(TM)” and press the X button.
* When you have added the Internet Radio player, the player icon will appear under the “About Internet Radio” icon.
* Select Internet Radio player icon.
* Choose a genre and select a station.

The Xbox Domain gets nominated for Blog of the year by Gamertag Radio

Gamertag Radio’s Xbox Community Awards ‘07 nominees have been revealed. This would have been posted much earlier today, but my laptop screen died. Excuses, excuses. Anyway, on episode #123 of Gamertag Radio, it has been revealed that this here space on the web has been nominated for Blog of the year. Be sure to check out this episode if you didn’t already listen to this podcast, and you do listen to this podcast don’t you?

Anyone over the age of twenty still playing video games definitely needs to find something new in their life.

Worst still, the remark was made in America’s gamer capital. Welcome to 2007, Radio.

Godree over at Gamertagradio has pointed out over on there site that who else other than GTR is featured on Xbox.com. After logging into Xbox.com, the message of the day asks “Who won this year’s Xbox Live Community Awards? Download the show from Gamertagradio.com”. After seeing this I had to login for myself to see this, and sure enough there it was as ( see above image) advertised.

Even though this here blog didn’t win, if you didn’t already check out the awards show please do. It’s good to see a prominent member of the Xbox community getting great recognition for there hardwork.

Gamertagradio did not win the gaming category for the podcast awards and I feel bummed because Out of all the podcasts I listen to Gamertagradio has been my favorite since late last year.

Well to Godfree and to the whole staff keep your head up, keep giving us great interviews and maybe next year you can win that trophy.

Congrats to Podtacular who won that category.
