Frontlines: Fuel of War is an upcoming FPS from THQ and Kaos Studios with a deep, non-linear, single-player campaign, as well as multiplayer support for up to 32 players on Xbox 360 and up to 64 players on PC. Frontlines: Fuel of War will be released for Xbox 360 and PC in America on February 25, in Australia on February 28, and in Europe on February 29, 2008.

Frontlines: Fuel of War (on Xbox 360, PS3 & PC due February 12th 2008) is the first project for Kaos Studios (a division of THQ founded by veterans of Trauma Studios, creators of Desert Combat and Battlefield 2 R&D projects). The FPS game uses the advanced Unreal 3 engine for futuristic, intense fights in an open-world battlefield.

Xbox Live Gold subscribers (and Silver members next week) can now download a 1.7GB single-player demo of Frontlines: Fuel of War. No word on a PS3 PlayStation Network release of the demo yet, maybe tomorrow?

In the game’s all-too-bleak future of constant wars over natural resources, two sides compete for global supremacy: the Western Coalition (the United States and the European Union) and the Red Star Alliance (Russian/People’s Republic of China). The game’s statement seems justified, which doesn’t just make the game powerful, but possibly a sign of things to come in the real world. The game’s nonlinear single-player campaign has players advancing their side’s frontline into enemy territory. There’s also multiplayer support for up to 32 players.
