PSP colors mint green and pastel pink, lilac and blue
According to Sony Japan’s website, they’ll be releasing a new PSP Slim and Light with a Mint Green color. This in an effort to appeal to women who want more floral colors (shown above) or, you know, men who like pastel colors. A release date is set for February 28th in Japan at a price of 19,800 Yen (that’s US$181 / CA$182 / £92 / €123 / AU$205).

The Blume series (akin to bloom) of colors includes: pink, lilac and pastel blue as well as the new mint green, alongside the three standard colors of the PSP 2000 currently available in Japan black, white, and silver. There are no known plans for the new color to be released outside of Japan. Other colors that didn’t make it out of Japan are: army green, blue, and champagne gold.

At CES 2008 Sony representatives on the showfloor said that Sony is working on a keyboard for the PSP, which should be released mid-2009. To quote: “We’re looking at several designs, but can’t tell you anything more specific.” Which makes it sound like they still need to invent a mini-keyboard, except that mobile phones have been using small keyboards as add-ons for years now.
