Electronic Arts today announced the The Sims 3: Collector’s Edition PC game is now available for pre-order at select North American retailers including GameStop, Best Buy, Circuit City, Fry’s Electronics, GameCrazy, EB Canada, Amazon.com, Gogamer.com, Target.com and Walmart.com. Worldwide pre-order opportunities outside of North America will be announced in the coming months at which time fans can look to local retailers in their market for more information.

The Sims 3 Collector’s Edition, in stores on February 20, 2009, for $69.99 (at $20 more than the normal edition) it will include the full game along with an additional collectable 2GB The Sims Plumbob USB drive, tips and hints guide and a bonus in-game European-styled sports car unavailable elsewhere. In addition, those who pre-order the product now will receive an additional exclusive in-game vintage sports car, and a collectible poster that is a first look at the neighborhood, all available while supplies last.

Midway Games is expecting Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe to be on store shelves and available for purchase on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 throughout North America on November 16th, 2008, and Europe on November 21st, 2008. On those days, gamers and comic book fans can enter their favorite retail outlet and purchase the highly-anticipated pairing of some of the iconic characters from the DC Universe, like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and The Joker, battling against video game icons Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, Sonya and more.

Midway released the final box art along with details of the North American Kollector’s Edition, which will come in special packaging and feature an exclusive removable print designed by Alex Ross, one of the world’s most pre-eminent and respected comic book artists, as well as bonus video content. That’s if at $69.99 you’re willing to pay $10 more than the regular edition. — In addition, John Tobias, co-creator of the Mortal Kombat franchise, returns to sketch a 16-page comic book to be published by DC Comics that chronicles the shocking, universe-shattering events that lead up to the in-game story mode.

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King has a final release date of November 13th, 2008 at a price of $40 for the standard edition.

The game is the next expansion pack for the most successful Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) of all time and the follow-up to the first World of Warcraft (WoW) expansion, The Burning Crusade.

Wrath of the Lich King will be getting a Collector’s Edition as well that will retail for $70. It will include:

* A unique case
* The Art of World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, a 208-page book featuring never-before-seen images from the game.
* An exclusive in-game pet: Frosty, the baby frost wyrm.
* A behind-the-scenes DVD containing over an hour of developer interviews on all aspects of the game’s creation, the Wrath of the Lich King intro cinematic with director’s commentary, footage of the panel discussion from BlizzCon 2007 and more.
* The official soundtrack CD, containing 21 epic tracks from the game, along with exclusive bonus tracks.
* A mouse pad featuring a map of the newly opened continent of Northrend.
* Two World of Warcraft Trading Card Game March of the Legion(TM) starter decks, along with two exclusive cards available only in the Collector’s Edition.

Man talk about a ton of extras! Even though it’s the same stuff that was include in the Burning Crusade Collector’s Edition, I still almost want to buy it for the artbook and soundtrack CD alone! But what can I say, I’m a sucker for extras.

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King will launch simultaneously in North America, Europe, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Russia on November 13th and a day later in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. Additionally, it will be available in Korea and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau on November 18. No date is yet set for mainland China.

It should be noted that you are required to have the original WoW and the Burning Crusade expansion in order to play Lich King.

Ubisoft has published the Far Cry 2 Collector’s Edition contents on its official FC2 forum for the PC, Xbox 360 & PlayStation 3 FPS game. It contains quite a few extra goodies for when it’ll be released in America on October 23rd, Europe will follow shortly after with a release on October 24th, 2008. The full list is detailed below.
