The DS Lite is adding a cool new Cobalt Blue and Black color scheme to its wardrobe on February 10th, 2008, which is the best day of the year. Nintendo claims that: like a black T-shirt with a splash of color, the new DS Lite Cobalt/Black version of the Nintendo portable grabs your attention.

Cobalt/Black marks the seventh color in the Nintendo DS Lite palette. It joins Polar White, Coral Pink, Onyx Black, Crimson Red and Black and the limited-edition Gold and Metallic Rose, which together sold more than 8.5 million units in America last year alone.

DS Lite with Cobalt Blue color coming to America end February 2008?

DS Lite Cobalt Blue and Black color
If an online pre-order webpage for the American retailer Circuit City was correct, then a new color Cobalt Blue DS Lite will be released before the end of February 2008. The DS Lite is colored in both cobalt blue and black, similar to the crimson red and black DS Lite.

A Nintendo insider described the “awesome” color as “purplish blue” and says that factory workers just started putting on the new color of clamshells in the last few days. Which means that once packing begins, there’s usually a two week or one month period before they hit store shelves. — Via Kotaku

Black Xbox360 Accessories on EB Games

Source: thexboxdomain.com

Over at EB Games they are selling a few of the accessories before the Elite releases. You’re able to purchase the Wireless Controller, the Play and Charge Kit and the Wireless Battery Pack. The prices of these beauties will be the same price as their white accessories! I guess it’s time to sell my controllers and buy black ones. They would look nice with my camo 360!

More Black Xbox 360 Rumors

Source: thexboxdomain.com

The reliable Xbox rumor site Xbox Archiv is reporting with more Black Xbox 360 rumors. This time it suggests rumors that have been around a long time and even more apparent today with a Spanish advertisement.

Another interesting rumor in it is that the tard pack, Core edition will soon be dropped from retail shelves - a great sign that would make the premium core and the new version premium. As an early adopter how would that make you feel though? Even though it is nice with the tard pack cancelled. In EGM Peter Moore didn’t dismiss the rumors of a new 360 by saying in this day there is always new technology in months, not years so it is quite possible that the new 360 is launched in May. Let’s wait for Microsoft’s comments on this.

From reliable sources we experienced now that Microsoft plans release of a new Xbox 360 version in May 2007. The new Xbox 360 will that already admits black model to be, which has an HDMI exit and a larger non removable disk (120 GB). The price of the new Xbox 360 will lie between €350 and €450, an exact product name is not present, the internal code name Zephyr is rather improbable as sales designation.

New Black Xbox 360 rumor train continues

Source: thexboxdomain.com

xbox360-black.jpg

Even after being shot down not to long ago, the black 360 rumors persist. Coming from an “inside source” of GamerReports.com, a black Xbox 360 with a 120GB hard-drive will be arriving soon to Australian store Myer in April. This inside source at Microsoft Australia also claims that the new model 360 will include a black controller and the much wanted HDMI port. The price for this is supposedly going to come in at around $749 AU and maybe even be released a tad bit earlier to coincide with the release of the competition in the territory.

As having been in the retail game for a while now, I would most definitely tell you that this has a gigantic grain of salt written all over it. Unless it’s done drastically different in Australia, a retailer wouldn’t be in on this information until after it’s formally announced. At that time, the buyer would then make orders for the new sku unless otherwise embargoed. Even saying that though, none of this should surprise anyone after a unexpected drop in estimated shipment goals was given by Microsoft less than two weeks ago. That would lead anyone to believe that current inventory is being cleared out for this new black edition 360. Just don’t forget that grain of salt, nevertheless.
