In case you missed out getting the PS3 for $349 it’s available again from Amazon for a limited time. It’s for the 80GB model.
Persona 2 reprint by Atlus (limited quantaties) sells out within an hour (PS1 game compatible with PS2/PS3)

The good news? Atlus has re-released the PS1 cult-classic Persona 2 in limited quantities, exclusively via Amazon.com. What’s even better is that the game has been updated so that it works with PS1, PS2 and PS3 consoles and includes a few extras; including an anime trailer of Persona 2 and an exclusive video interview with the creators of the game.
The bad news? Copies FLEW out of Amazon and within an hour, the limited number of pressings had completely sold out. And not only did it sell out within an hour, but the re-print even managed to crack the Amazon top ten best-sellers list, which is quite the feat considering all the other high profile games being released. You can still find copies of the game available, but they will cost you a pretty penny, with Persona 2: Eternal Punishment’s re-print costing in the $80-dollar range.
Naturally, the re-print was made to celebrate the franchise and it’s rising popularity leading up to the release of Persona 4, which hits on December 9th. Which is an interesting turn of events considering that the Persona series once was considered a franchise for only the most hardcore RPG players.
As such, Persona 2: Eternal Punishment is considered by many to be the series’ high-mark.
Now it’s the job of all of you RPG fans to write up Atlus and let them know that you would love to see a true re-release/update of Persona 2. Hopefully just the selling out of the title itself sent Atlus a strong message. RPG fans love their Persona!

Far Cry 2’s October 21st release date is only days away! So to get what may be your last good look at the game in trailer form before it hits store shelves and you have the action packed first-person shooter title in your hands.
The trailer shows the various ways you can approach your objectives and thus play the game. Whether you want to go in with guns a’blazin’, use stealth to snipe targets (HEADSHOT!) and sneak upon your foes or if you are the pyro-type and what to set everything a’blaze! Far Cry 2 will truly let you play however you want.

Publisher Ubisoft has also done some interesting viral marketing for Far Cry 2 by offering some related products “for sale” on Amazon.com! Want to hire your own Far Cry 2 mercenary? Its not exactly a steal but you are saving 40 bucks. The overpriced but sizable hard drive has been a bit of a hot topic for gamers who continue to fill up and empty the 20 Gigs of the Premium 360. Although if you really need it you can save some money by shopping online.

Amazon sales of 360’s leap as the price comes down

Gizmodo discovered that when Microsoft decided to lower the price for all Xbox 360 systems that their sales on Amazon skyrocketed. Well, maybe not all the way to the top but they made some significant gains and to date 360 and 360 accesories compile a majority of the biggest gainers in sales. Following the price drop the Xbox 360 reached #11 in sales in video games and Forza 2 jumped all the way to #1 from #94. It’s obvious that the price drop was a good idea and although some people still complain that is wasn’t enough you can’t argue with the numbers.
