The Rumor that just won’t DIE!

“Metal Gear Solid 4 CONFIRMED for Xbox 360!”

That’s the words that Xbox 360 Fans are dying to hear and Sony Fanboy’s dread. I love the Metal Gear Solid series. I had great times with MGS back in 1998 and MGS 2 and 3 afterwards.

I think it’s a great series which has great storytelling(Even though at times Confusing) and I can’t wait for Metal Gear Solid 4. One thing I’m sick and tired of hearing is that Metal Gear Solid 4 is coming to Xbox 360 because some website posted it or some random foreign mag said so. Look I really want MGS 4 on the 360 but we need to calm down a bit and wait for official details. Laying into False Rumors can drive a person crazy and what’s the fun of getting excited over something which might not happen?

This past couple of weeks the INTERNETS has been going crazy with this especially our friends at Destructoid.com. Look at Dtoid’s Post this past weekend which by the way has generated 944 comments as of today. You can kind of feel like this rumor has been spoken about so much that it must come true and only I and others can hope.

I know One day I will buy a Playstation 3 and the one game which would push me closer to buying it would be Metal Gear Solid 4. If by some chance MGS 4 would come to the Xbox 360 well then I just saved myself 600 Dollars and feel overjoyed.

To wrap up this post let’s just wait and see for an official annoucement from Konami. If Metal Gear Solid 4 does not come to Xbox 360 well then that’s something we will just have to grin and bare.
