PS3 and XBOX 360 graphics Identical?

Source: thexboxdomain.com

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/704/704421p1.html

In a Pre-E3 interview with IGN, Swedish developer Starbreeze Studios (The Chronicles Of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay) talk next-gen and offer their insights on the next-gen console cat fight. So, is there really a big difference between the Xbox 360 and the PS3? One Starbreeze folkin had this to say:The PS3 will have a content size advantage with Blu-Ray and a CPU advantage for titles that are able to utilize a lot of the SPUs.

The Xbox360 has a slight GPU advantage and its general purpose triple-core CPU is relatively easy to utilize compared to SPUs. I expect that it will be near impossible to tell Xbox 360 and PS3 screenshots apart.

Interesting……………….let’s see @ E3.

Sega announces Sonic Rivals for PSP

Source: videogamesblogger.com

Sonic Rivals for PSPSonic Rivals is the name of Sonic’s first Sony handheld outing. In Sonic Rivals, you can control any of four characters, each with a different unfolding storyline including Sonic and Knuckles, racing against other players, plus rivals like the evil Shadow.

The game also makes use of an extensive rewards system, based on collecting trading cards, allowing players to customise their favourite characters. So when you play wirelessly against mates, you can put trading cards on the line for even more multiplayer challenges.

You’ll make use of boost moves and power-ups to trip, shove, and vault over each other to make it to the finishing line first. Whilst negotiating the wildly twisting 3D tracks at breakneck speeds, you will also have to watch out for that little creep, Dr. Eggman.

Sonic RushScott A. Steinberg, Vice President of Marketing of SEGA of America, says “Sonic Rivals brings back the classic 2D platform gameplay that started it all, and douses it with vibrant three-dimensional environments. In this heated rivalry, gamers are tested to prove not only who’s the fastest but who has the best head-to-head gameplay strategy.”

Since its debut on the SEGA Genesis in 1991, Sega has sold over 44 million Sonic The Hedgehog games. This year Sonic celebrates his 15th birthday.

Sonic Rivals will be out this autumn.
